Tropical Floral Arranging with Wylde

  • Wylde Flowers at The Assembly

In this two-hour class, you will learn how to create a graphic style arrangement using summer Tropicals. Wylde will teach you how to prepare and compose your arrangement, touching upon color, composition, and other design principles. You are free to take your arrangement home with you once the workshop is complete.

The class will start at 12:00pm at the Assembly at 307 W. Martin St. in downtown Raleigh and finish around 2pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Wylde is a flower shop and floral design studio located at the front of The Assembly. Our designs are inspired by the natural world around us and incorporate local seasonal flowers and foraged botanical elements. We believe flowers are the most beautiful when they mimic nature and embrace the imperfections that make each bloom and leaf unique. We called this notion perfectly imperfect floral design.

Meet the hosts:

Paul Tuorto is a freelance designer and art director working at The Assembly in Downtown Raleigh. Loving all things food related, especially pasta, he's focused recently on identity design for food & hospitality brands such as Benny T's Vesta, Crawford & Son Restaurant, Whiskey Kitchen, Pizzeria Faulisi and the soon to be open Oakwood Pizza Box.

Josh DeCarolis is the partner and chef of Mothers & Sons Trattoria in Durham, NC. DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano—handmade pasta. The name, Mothers & Sons, is derived from the closeness DeCarolis experienced amongst Italian families such as his own–especially between mothers and sons-often centered around cooking traditions and the dinner table. We look forward to welcoming you to our table.
